This patch, released on 02 September 2026, optimizes document loading in the Assign Products wizard and includes a few smaller fixes.

Highlight feature​

ADMIN-3881 | Faster loading and safer editing in the Assign Products wizard

The Assign Products wizard used to load and save the full document tree every time, even for large publications. Now it loads only the first level of documents on open, and fetches a document's children only when the user expands it. Save now sends only what changed, not the whole tree, and does nothing if there were no changes.

Result: The wizard opens faster, and users no longer have to wait a long time for small changes to be saved, even when working with large publications.

Bug fixes and improvements​

  • ADMIN-3944 | Added an empty state message in the Assign Products step when a publication has no documents, drag and drop into the planning panel is disabled until a document exists
  • ADMIN-3939 | Added a fallback thumbnail for publications with no render snapshot yet, showing "No preview yet" instead of a broken image icon
  • ADMIN-4050 | Global Buttons in the Customization and Assign Products steps now send the document list as input to the process
  • ADMIN-3918 | Fixed drag and drop clearing previously checked rows when dragging an unselected row while multi-select checkboxes were active
